KUWAIT, March 12 (KUNA) — The Environment Public Authority (EPA) launched Saturday a voluntary cleaning campaign of Shuwaikh beach in cooperation with the Embassy of Senegal in Kuwait, and participation of the Kuwaiti Dive Team (KDT).
The event is part of the “It’s worth our protection” campaign’s activities, which aims at raising public awareness on environment protection and promoting volunteering, EPA Chairman and General-Director Sheikh Abdullah Ahmad Al-Humoud Al-Sabah said in a press statement.
The campaign sheds light on important environmental issues, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Humoud said, adding that the event also tends to interact directly with the people and encourage them to participate in the environmental development programs and activities.
