Egyptian FM, US Secretary of State discusses regional development

CAIRO, June 24 (KUNA) — Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed in a phone call Friday with US Secretary of State John Kerry the Palestinian conflict, including regional and international efforts exerted with the Israelis and Palestinians to resume the peace process.
The call also delved into developments in Libya and Syria, and highlighted bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to bolster them, Egyptian foreign ministry spokesman Ahmad Abu Zaid said in a statement.
Abu Zaid added the two sides also tackled the outcome of the recent British referendum, according to which Britain would leave the European Union (EU).
The spokesman noted that the two sides agreed to continue consultations and calls between them in the future. (end) esm.mb
