Egypt re-affirms cooperation with Kuwait significant

CAIRO, Jan 29 (KUNA) — Egyptian Manpower Minister Jamal Surour on Friday underscored anew significance of bolstering cooperation with the State of Kuwait over various issues such as safeguarding rights of workers and employers.
Minister Surour made the statement to the official Middle East News Agency (MENA), shortly after concluding a visit to Kuwait where he held talks with Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, and Minister of State for Planning Affairs and Development, Hind Al-Sabeeh.
A memo of understanding between Egypt and Kuwait will be signed soon, he said, explaining that it is designed to establish electronic data link-up regarding employment of Egyptian workers in the Gulf country.
The interface will be set up to help in securing skilled and trained laborers, to be hired according to electronic contracts, where all parties’ rights will be secured, he said, also noting the joint portal will also facilitate “finishing role of brokers and middlemen in this regard.” (end) esm.rk
