Dubai-Based KEDU Authorized to Distribute Wave’s Security Portfolio in the Middle East

LEE, MA–(Marketwired – July 15, 2013) – Wave Systems Corp. (NASDAQ: WAVX), the Trusted Computing Company, announced that it has entered into an agreement with KEDU IT Infrastructure, an IT distributor based in the United Arab Emirates’ city of Dubai. The agreement follows a similar reseller agreement between Riyad-based QWAED Technologies and Wave, announced last month.

“The recent spate of malware threats in the Gulf Cooperation Council has prompted the need for better, more robust cyber security. That naturally led us to Wave, with its significant expertise in Trusted Computing and portfolio of products for protecting data, detecting malware and establishing device identity,” said Obaid Ali Bin Qahash, Managing Director at KEDU. “We are yet another step towards demonstrating our commitment to the Middle East region.”

Joseph Souren, Wave’s Vice President and General Manager for EMEA, commented, “We have established an important relationship with KEDU as an authorized reseller of our solutions with significant on-ground technical support capabilities. We recognize the Middle East region as an important market and we are pleased to be working with KEDU to help develop and grow its business.”

Wave’s comprehensive portfolio of innovative solutions for managing data protection, authentication and malware detection enables KEDU to deliver secure business solutions to their clients designed to empower them to:

Ensure their devices are safe to lose. Data is always protected with hardware-based encryption managed by Wave. Wave Cloud is the only Cloud service on the market for managing self-encrypting drives and Wave for BitLocker(tm) Management enables the fast deployment of BitLocker(tm), the native encryption feature from Microsoft.

Safely and securely encrypt files uploaded to cloud storage services like Dropbox(tm) or Microsoft SkyDrive(tm).

Eliminate passwords. Ensure seamless, second-factor authentication with Wave to enable virtual smartcards and to protect credentials while using Microsoft DirectAccess.

Ensure that only known devices are allowed on known networks. Establish persistent device identity that can’t be spoofed and gain increased visibility into endpoint health before the operating system loads with Wave Endpoint Monitor.

About Wave Systems
Wave Systems Corp. (NASDAQ: WAVX) reduces the complexity, cost and uncertainty of data protection by starting inside the device. Unlike other vendors who try to secure information by adding layers of software for security, Wave leverages the security capabilities built directly into endpoint computing platforms themselves. Wave has been a foremost expert on this growing trend, leading the way with first-to-market solutions and helping shape standards through its work as a board member for the Trusted Computing Group.
