Dr. Muna Al-Maslamani, Medical Director of the Communicable Diseases Center at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), has said that HMC and the Primary Health Care Corporation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health, have launched a campaign against seasonal flu, and the vaccine will be free and available in 27 health centers in addition to 45 clinics.

She unveiled that in the first phase of the campaign this year, the focus will be on the main groups of people over the age of 50, people with chronic diseases, children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years, and pregnant women. She pointed out that it is important for people to understand that the flu vaccine does not protect against infection with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and vice versa.
