Deputy PM Meets Human Resources Committee

Doha, November 18 (QNA) – HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud met here today with the President and members of the committee for reviewing the provisions of the  Human Resource Management law of 2009.
 During the meeting, HE Al-Mahmoud stressed the need to accomplish the proposed amendments to the law as soon as possible for its importance for both, the government employees who are covered by law and to work development and control, increasing productivity and performance, improving Qatari cadres and moving government work to a new stage to keep pace with the boom witnessed by Qatar in all fields under the guidance of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and to achieve the Qatar National Vision 2030.
 He explained that contacts had been initiated with entities on which the law of human resources applies other relevant bodies, including the Lawyers Association, for furnishing the committee with their observations and suggestions on appropriate amendments to the law. He added that the committee had actually received feedbacks and proposals from these actors which provided an important information base on which the committee can build to adopt what is positive in the law and change what is negative.
 HE Al-Mahmoud stressed the need to take into account the high interest of the employee and job stability, calling on the committee also to give special attention to all the views of employees and citizens collected by the committee from the local press, media and other means of communication.
 The Head and members of the committee affirmed their keenness and commitment to accomplish the task entrusted to them on time and meet the committee’s goals. (QNA)
