Culture Minister Arrives in Manama for the Arab Culture Ministers’ Meeting

Manama, November 12 (QNA) – HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari arrived today in Manama to attend the 18th session of the Arab culture ministers, hosted by the Bahraini Ministry of Culture within activities marking Manama as the Capital of Arab Culture 2012.
 He was welcomed upon arrival by the Director of Culture Department at Bahrain’s Ministry of Culture Abdulqader Aqeel,  HE Qatar’s ambassador to Bahrain Sheikh Abdullah bin Thamer Al Thani and a number of the ministry staff.
 Dr. Al-Kuwari will deliver a speech at the meeting which will start Tuesday, where the Culture ministers will discuss the cultural situation in Arab countries and the future of Capitals of  Arab Culture project.
 The meeting will also discuss the draft Arab Agreements on protecting copy rights and the neighboring right and protecting local legacies. The meeting’s agenda also includes Libya’s request to nominate Tripoli for the Capital of Arab Culture 2014. (QNA)
