Consultative meeting of Arab FMs kicks off in Lebanon

The consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers kicked off on Saturday 02/07/2022 in Lebanon, under Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib, with the attendance of Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Abul Gheit.

Egypt partakes in the meeting with a delegation, chaired by deputy foreign minister Hamdy Loza.

The consultative meeting is held in Beirut, as Lebanon chairs the current session of the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers with the participation of foreign ministers of Kuwait, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, the Comoros, Sudan, Somalia, Palestine, Yemen and Qatar.

The meeting is also attended by a number of delegations of the AL permanent representatives of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Djibouti, Iraq, Oman and Libya.

Representatives of Bahraini, Moroccan and Mauritanian foreign ministers are also present at the meeting.

The meeting has no specific agenda, as the participating delegations are set to focus on issues with top priority for their countries.
