Clinton wins DC primary

WASHINGTON, June 15 (KUNA) — Hillary Clinton won the Washington D.C. Democratic primary with nearly 78 percent of the vote, it was announced late Tuesday.
Her opponent, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, gained 21 percent of the vote.
There are 20 delegates up for grabs in D.C., 16 of which will go to Clinton, who already crossed the 2,383-delegate threshold last week, and is the presumptive Democratic nominee for the White House.
Sanders will likely remain in the race until the Democratic convention in Cleveland, Ohio next month, where he is expected to highlight progressive issues. (end) ys.hb
