Car blast kills 3 people, injures 30 others in SE Turkey

ISTANBUL, June 8 (KUNA) — Three people, including a policemen, were killed and 30 others wounded in a car bomb attack on a police station in southeast Turkey near the border with Syria, local reports said.
The attack, which took place in Midyat Town in Turkey’s southeastern Mardin province, was carried out by Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants, local report quoted security sources as saying.
Several ambulances were dispatched to the scene as thick smoke was seen rising from the damaged police station, they added.
The car bomb attack came just one day after a car blast targeted a police vehicle, which left 11 people, including seven policemen, dead and 36 others wounded. (end)
