Cabinet discusses proposed 5-year plan to harmonize employment with needs

KUWAIT, June 12 (KUNA) — The Cabinet discussed on Sunday a bill forwarded by the Bureau of the Minister of State for Youth Affairs stipulating a five-year strategy aimed at employing citizens on basis of the market demand and the State Development Strategy.
The Government, during the weekly session held at Seif Palace, examined the proposed plan, designed to secure works through “an employment map,” needed by the State institutions and the private sector; whereby the employment degree and the alloted payment for each civil servant must be according to the State requirements.
This approach warrants re-examining current specializations at Kuwait University, private universities, colleges and institutes of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training.
The Cabinet decided to submit the proposed bill to the Civil Service Commission for further examination and working out an executive program and a timeable to put the porposed plan into action. (more) rk
