KUWAIT, March 14 (KUNA) — The Kuwaiti Cabinet on Monday deplored a recent attack in Tunisia’s southern Ben Guerdane City, terming it as a “terrorist act”.
The cabinet reiterated in a statement issued following its weekly meeting Kuwait’s support for all measures and moves taken by the Tunisian government in order to ensure its security and stability, urging Tunisians to get united in face of threats their nation is facing.
On March 7th, a bomb explosion hit Ben Guerdane City on the border with Libya, leaving at least 55 people dead, including 36 militants, 12 policemen and seven civilians.
Immediately following the attack, Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi had announced the closure of borders with Libya and a night-time curfew in Ben Guerdane and Djerba. (end) mt
