The Cabinet chaired by HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, in its regular meeting yesterday, approved a draft decision of the Chairman of Qatar for Tourism to consider holiday homes as hotel establishments.

Under the project, holiday homes are considered hotel establishments, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 20 of 2018 regarding tourism regulation and its provisions apply. Holiday homes mean furnished housing units prepared for residence, and provided with utilities, whether they are rooms, apartments, houses, villas or camps, and they are rented as a complete or divided unit on a daily or weekly basis or any temporary period not exceeding 30 consecutive days.
