Cabinet Approves Draft Decree on Land Allocation for KAHRAMAA

HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet regular meeting, held yesterday at its seat at Amiri Diwan.

The Cabinet approved a draft decree allocating land to Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) for the establishment of an electricity and water production plant.

During the meeting, the Cabinet reviewed some topics and took the appropriate decisions, including the letter of the Ministry of Transport and Communications on the 2017 annual report of the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA). The CRA regulates the Telecommunications and Information Technology sector, Postal sector and access to digital media, with the aim of providing advanced telecommunications services that serve all parts of the State.

The report included the CRA’s work programs, achievements and quest for regulation for the future in order to develop the telecommunications sector and telecommunications infrastructure and to protect the consumer.
