Ban condemns terrorist attack in Turkey

NEW YORK, June 7 (KUNA) – UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon condemned Tuesday terrorist attack in Istanbul that shook the heart of the city claiming the lives of at least 11, and injured dozens more.
Standing in solidarity with the people and Government of Turkey at this difficult time, the UN Chief hoped in a statement released today, that the perpetrators of this despicable terrorist attack will be swiftly identified and brought to justice.
He extended his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wished those injured a speedy recovery, the statement added.
Earlier, the Turkish authorities accused the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) of the car bomb attack targeting a police bus, affirming that such act is not going to be forgiven. (end) mao.rk
