In the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in London launched today the electronic consular services system at the embassy, which was designed and implemented by the diplomatic mission with the efforts and skill of a number of the ministry’s employees and Bahraini students studying in the United Kingdom. The system aims to facilitate the electronic provision of all consular services to Bahraini nationals residing in Britain, including students, visitors and businessmen.
The launch was attended by the Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Director General of Ministry Affairs, Talal Abdulsalam Al-Ansari, the accompanying delegation, as well as a number of embassy staff.
On this occasion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his happiness with the launch of this innovative electronic system, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, for launching this distinguished initiative, which is in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the esteemed government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to follow up on the interests of Bahraini citizens abroad and provide them with the best services.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs noted that this electronic system coincides with the goals and efforts of the government to benefit from modern technology to provide services, overcome obstacles and save time and money. He further appreciated the efforts made by the ambassador, the embassy staff and the work team of Bahraini students studying in Britain, wishing them continued success.
For his part, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the constant support received by the embassy in carrying out its tasks and duties in implementing the foreign policy of the Kingdom of Bahrain and taking care of the interests of Bahraini citizens residing in the United Kingdom. He praised the efforts of the diplomats and mission staff, and their keenness to complete this electronic system at an honorable level that achieves the desired goals.
