Bahrain national football team will be powered by 26 players from the Kingdom’s top teams and one overseas player as they prepare for the resumption of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023.
In two preparation friendlies, Bahrain will take on Syria on March 25 and Jordan on March 30.
Abdullah Youssef will join the national team from his SK Slavia Prague team on Tuesday.
In the November friendlies, Bahrain defeated Tajikistan 1-0, Lebanon 3-1 and United Arab Emirates 3-1.
Head coach Helio Sousa wants Bahrain to build on their success of 2019 and advance to the third round of the Qualifiers, which will also confirm its spot in the AFC Asian Cup China 2023 Finals.
Bahrain have three matches remaining in their Group C campaign, with Cambodia before facing Iran and Hong Kong.
