Azerbaijani Army kills 47 Armenian servicemen in recent fights, wounds more than 100

Baku: Armenian servicemen have been killed during the last tension on the front line.

APA, citing Russian diplomatic sources, reports that 47 Armenian servicemen were killed and more than 100 wounded during the assaults Armenian sabotage groups launched on positions of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan on the state border between Azerbaijan and Armenia and along the contact line of troops.

17 of them are soldiers of dislocated military units of the Armenian army in Nagorno-Karabakh, while the remaining 30 are mercenaries of the separatist regime in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The source also says the government is gradually publicizing the names of the killed soldiers of the Armenian army but keeping the identity of the dead mercenaries secret.

Note that, during his visit to Aghdam district on August 6, President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev said dozens of Armenian servicemen had been killed.

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry’s press service and the ministry officials also stated that the Armenians suffered a considerably greater number of losses.
