AWI to participate in Kuwait Capital of Islamic Culture '16 celebrations

PARIS, June 8 (KUNA) — President of the Arab World Institute (AWI) Jack Lang welcomed the invitation take part in the celebrations marking the selection of Kuwait as Capital of Islamic Culture for 2016.
During his meeting with Dr. Walid Al-Saif, the deputy chairman of the UNESCO General Assembly of States Parties to the World Heritage Convention, on Wednesday, Lang said will attend Kuwait Book Fair, due on November 16-26, as part of these celebration.
Al-Saif, also advisor to the Secretary-General of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) delivered the invitation to the AWI chief. (end) mmb.gb
