The Association of Secretaries-General of the Arab Parliaments strongly condemned the storming and vandalism of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Khartoum by irregular armed forces, describing it as a disgraceful criminal act.
In a statement Sunday, the Association of Secretaries-General of the Arab Parliaments called for the perpetrators to be prosecuted and held responsible for the consequences of this unfortunate criminal act, which constitutes a violation of international law and conventions.
The Association also affirmed its position calling for an immediate end to the fighting in Sudan, the exercise of maximum restraint, resorting to the voice of reason, giving priority to the public interest, and sparing civilians the consequences of the fighting.
