Arab League Permanent Administrative and Financial Affairs Concludes 100th Session with Qatar Participating

The Permanent Administrative and Financial Affairs committee concluded its 100th regular meeting held at the headquarters of the Arab League General Secretariat, with the participation of representatives from Arab countries.

The State of Qatar was represented in the two-day meetings by HE Director of Department of the Financial and Administrative Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Saad Al Tamimi.

The committee discussed the biggest items of its budget for 2022 and agreed to ratify the budget. They also agreed on placing a reserve for the general secretariat, and agreed that member states will continue to pay their contributions to the budget and the reserve.

The budget for 2022 was inline with previous years at $60.9 million.

The committee will present a report on the outcomes of its meetings in the next session of the Arab League held at the level of foreign ministers next September.
