Arab League condemns terrorist attacks in Jordan, Somalia

CAIRO, June 6 (KUNA) — Arab League Secretary General Dr. Nabil Al-Araby condemned the terrorist assaults that targeted the Jordanian intelligence headquarters in Baqa’a camp, killing five officers as a result.
Al-Araby, in a statement Monday, reiterated League’s solidarity with the Jordanian government and people, and support in facing and uprooting terrorism and radicalism.
He also strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the Ambassador Hotel in Mogadishu, Somalia, for which Al-Shabaab terrorist group claimed responsibility, killing 16 people and wounding 55 others.
Al-Araby urged the international community to help Somali government and support its efforts to rebuild the country’s security and military institutions, and boosting its anti-terrorism abilities.
He expressed his condolences to the Jordanian and Somali people, governments, and victims’ families, and wished a speedy recovery for the wounded. (end) mfm.aff.ma
