Amb. Al-Khudeir lauds Kuwait's financial commitments to Arab League's budget

CAIRO, Jan 27 (KUNA) — Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League for financial and administrative affairs Ambassador Adnan Al-Khudeir lauded Kuwait’s financial commitments to the League’s budget for 2016.
In a statement to KUNA on Wednesday, Al-Khudeir said such commitment would help the League carry out its programs and goals in accordance with the resolutions of Arab summits and foreign ministers’ meetings so as to achieve interest of Arab countries.
Earlier today, the League announced that Kuwait met its full commitments to the budget for 2016.
He referred to “important” meetings to be held in the coming period, including the conference of Syria’s friends slated for the beginning of February, the meeting of Arab foreign ministers and the Arab summit, to be hosted by Morocco by the end of March.
He noted that preparations are underway for this summit, in collaboration with Moroccan authorities and the Secretariat.
Al-Khudeir also underlined the importance of this summit as Arab countries are going through a “sensitive” period, hoping that it achieves its goals on different levels. (end)
