In 1st Qatar Arabian Horse Breeders Cup

The 1st Qatar Arabian Horse Breeders Cup was concluded yesterday, 23 October, evening. The two-day horse show was the first of the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC)-organised shows of the 2021/22 season. 160 horses were on display at the at the Longines Indoor Arena of Al Shaqab. The Show saw strong competitions, especially on the second day, which concluded with the championship classes for fillies, colts, mares and stallions. The horses of Al Shaqab – Member of Qatar Foundation dominated the titles and gold medals by winning five of the six championships.
TAJWEED AL SHAQAB Champion Yearling Filly
In the Yearling Fillies Championship, Al Shaqab – Member of Qatar Foundation – owned TAJWEED AL SHAQAB was adjudged as the champion and won the Gold Medal. Kaheel Stud’s DALMA KL had to settle for silver while Al Jamal Stud’s ELHAM AL JAMAL won bronze.
HARQAN AL SHAQAB Champion Yearling Colt
HARQAN AL SHAQAB, owned by Al Shaqab – Member of Qatar Foundation, emerged as the gold champion in the Yearling Colts Championship. He topped the round ahead of Al Shahania Stud’s NAEEF AL SHAHANIA and Al Hazza Stud’s BAGHDAD AL HAZZA, who won silver and bronze respectively.
WOJOD AL SHAQAB Champion Junior Filly
WOJOD AL SHAQAB, owned by Al Shaqab – Member of Qatar Foundation, bagged the Junior Fillies Championship. Al Nasser Stud’s SHUROUQ AL NASSER and FT Farm’s LAMAR FT were presented silver and bronze respectively.
SAA’ID AL SHAQAB Champion Junior Colt
SAA’ID AL SHAQAB, owned by Al Shaqab – Member of Qatar Foundation, won the Junior Colts gold. Al Nasser Stud’s NASHWAN AL NASSER took silver ahead of Al Sraiya Stud’s ARKAN AL SRAIYA.
NAJLA UMM ALUDHAM Champion Mare
Nasser Mohammed Al Hajri’s NAJLA UMM ALUDHAM was crowned the Champion Mare. VICTORIA AL SHAQAB, owned by Al Shaqab – Member of Qatar Foundation, won silver while Al Shahania Stud’s SAHERHA AL SHAHANIA took bronze.
KASHEF AL SHAQAB Champion Stallion
KASHEF AL SHAQAB completed the gold quintuple for Al Shaqab – Member of Qatar Foundation, as he was crowned Champion Stallion. Silver among the stallions went also to Al Shaqab – Member of Qatar Foundation with FALAH AL SHAQAB while bronze was won by Jaffar Khalil Ibrahim Radwani’s AJMAL THO AL JANAH.
1st Qatar Arabian Horse Show Local Bred
Horse show events continue with QREC organising another new show, the 1st Qatar Arabian Horse Show Local Bred, taking place at the same venue over two days, staring today 24 October 2021.
