Al Nasr to Give Lecture on Diplomacy in Qatari Diplomatic Institute

Doha, November 25 (QNA) – High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations Nasser bin Abdul Aziz Al Nasr and former President of the UN General Assembly will give tomorrow Monday a lecture at the Qatari Diplomatic Institute on his experience in diplomatic work.
 Before arriving to Doha, Al Nasr participated in the Third High Panel Meeting held by UNESCO in Paris. He held a meeting with Director-General of UNESCO Irina Bokova on the margins of the panel meeting and discussed the cooperation frameworks between the Alliance of Civilizations and UNESCO.
 During the panel meeting, the former President of the General Assembly stressed on the importance of intercultural dialogue and enhancing cooperation between different cultural backgrounds to achieve a better future. A number of prominent world figures participated in the panel meeting including Prince Turkey Al Faisal Al Saud and Lebanese writer Amin Maalouf.
 Al Nasr was the President of the Sixty-sixth session of the United Nations General Assembly from September 14, 2011 to September 18, 2012. He was appointed as High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations of the United Nations by the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on September 28, 2012. (QNA)
