Al-Jumailiya Youth Center Holds Variety of Activities in Summer

Al-Jumailiya Youth Center is holding a variety of activities for its members in summer 2023.

The center’s activities during the summer period include a range of youth, entertainment, social and sports events, which come within the framework of the five-year strategic plan of the Ministry of Sports and Youth 2023 to 2027, and to achieve the ministry’s vision of “active and responsible youth with a sense of patriotism, and a community practicing sports.

” In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Al Jumailiya Youth Center director Khalifa Mohsen Al Shahwani affirmed the center’s keenness on providing a package of activities during the period from June 18 to August 17, contributing to the development of youth skills and enhancing their capabilities, noting that among the center’s most important activities is a special event on the occasion of the celebration of Arab Youth Day, which falls on July 5, that was first celebrated in the Arab world in 2021. The celebration is in cooperation with a group of youth centers, namely: Barzan, Simaisma, Al-Daayen, and Al-Thakhira, where the activities will be in the form of multiple sports competitions in which the centers’ members will participate.

He added that one of the important activities that the center celebrates during the summer period is the International Youth Skills Day, which falls on July 15 every year. It was declared by the United Nations in 2014 in celebration of the strategic importance of providing youth with the necessary skills to employ them and to enable them to obtain decent work, as well as to enable them in the entrepreneurship field.
