Al Jalila Foundation donates AED 300,000 to Tawam Hospital

WAM AL AIN, July 17th, 2013 (WAM) — Al Jalila Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that is championing healthcare improvements by investing in medical treatment, education and research, has donated AED300,000 to Tawam Hospital for covering the costs of the much-needed treatment for patients with various forms of cancer and genetic disorders.

Tawam Hospital, in affiliation with Johns Hopkins Medicine and part of the SEHA healthcare system, is one of the region’s leading centres for oncology and genetic disorder research and treatment.

Gregory F. Schaffer, Chief Executive Officer, Tawam Hospital, said: “We are honoured to have received this donation from Al Jalila Foundation – an incredible organisation established by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
