Ajman Ruler receives Sudanese delegation

WAM AJMAN, 14th April, 2014 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, yesterday received Dr. Ibrahim Al-Khidir Hassan, Northern State Governor in Sudan and Lieutenant General Al-Hadi Abdullah, Governor of the River Nile State, and their accompanying delegation currently visiting the country.

During the meeting, they reviewed future cooperation in the economic and trade investment fields and ways to boost economic cooperation between the U.A.E. and Sudan.

Sheikh Humaid welcomed the Sudanese delegation stressing that the visit would contribute in enhancing economic relations between the U.A.E. and Sudan in general; and between the emirate of Ajman and the Northern and River Nile states in particular.

Ajman Ruler went on to say that Sudan has got a variety of natural recourses and a promising future in all sectors especially in the agricultural fields highlighting U.A.E.’s keenness in working towards enhancing food security in the Arab region and achieving mutual as well as other Arab countries interets.

The Sudanese delegation offered thanks and appreciation to the Ruler of Ajman for his continuous support for Sudan in the investment and humanitarian areas. The delegation also hailed Sheikh Humaid’s achievements in the social and economic fields.

The meeting was attended by a number of Sheikhs and senior officials.
