Over 70 students participated in the inaugural TAMUQ Engineers Career Café, organized by Texas A&M at Qatar University at Qatar, in collaboration with Innovation Café. It aimed to connect engineering students and fresh graduates with industry professionals.

Representatives from 12 leading organizations from Qatar including Vodafone Qatar, Hilti, Bain & Company, Worley, Connectors, QAPCO, Teach for Qatar, Texas A&M at Qatar, Weatherford, SLB, RKH Qitarat, and Connekters interacted with Aggies, and discussed potential employment opportunities. Career mentors also addressed some of the concerns raised by the participants.

Engy Farghal, Manager of Industry Engagement and Alumni Affairs at Texas A&M at Qatar, said, “This year we have collaborated with Innovation Café on the first of its kind career event. Engineers’ Career Café was a relaxed career and networking fair that connects engineering students and recent graduates with industry professionals and career mentors. We used a more focused approach with a limited number of employers who provide tailored internship and employment opportunities for our students, in addition to career coaching and advising.”
