AFC to Hold Part Two of Coaching Course in Doha

Doha, October 26 (QNA) – The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) will conduct the second part of ‘A’ level Football Coaching Certificate Course here in January 2013.
The first part of an AFC ‘A’ Football Coaching Certificate Course which started here October 7 concluded successfully earlier this week on October 21, the AFC reported Friday.

Qatar’s Ahmad Omer Sh Festok was the instructor for the course. He was assisted by Nihad Sougar (Jordan) and Yousef Ahmed MH Baker (Kuwait).
A total of 26 coaches participated in the course, where they showed good performance in the first practical session.
The AFC ‘A’ Coaching Certificate course is for coaches who hold both the ‘C’ and ‘B’ Coaching Certificates. Selection of participants is based only on the recommendation of the instructors.
The duration of the course is 27 days, with a minimum of 148 hours. The course is designed to educate coaches in tactical and advanced technical requirements of teams and team management.
The topics cover the physiological and psychological needs of the players which are part of the module and are important to enhance the coaches’ understanding of the game at this level.
The students are examined on the practical and theoretical aspects of the game, and are required to submit and present a dissertation, the AFC said. (QNA)
