Abdullah bin Zayed stresses the importance of Qatari Emir’s visit to UAE

WAM ABU DHABI, 29th October, 2013 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, has said that the visit of the Qatari Emir, H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to his second country, the U.A.E., is considered a sincere expression of Sheikh Tamim’s keenness on strengthening the strong fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples.

Sheikh Abdullah said in a statement to the Qatari newspaper, Al-Sharq, in its edition to be published tomorrow, that the visit is of particular importance in light of the current circumstances and the latest regional and international developments and exchanging views and coordinating stances towards various issues of mutual interest.

The Foreign Minister said that bilateral relations between the U.A.E. and Qatar witnessed, as per the directives and keenness of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.H. the Emir of Qatar, positive developments and steady growth at all levels, both in terms of consolidating the bonds of fraternal bilateral relations or at the level of support for the march of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, as well as enhancing cooperation, coordination and integration between them within the framework of the GCC joint action.

His Highness said, at the conclusion of his statement, that the U.A.E. attaches greatest importance to the brotherly bilateral relations with Qatar and is keen to promote them to wider horizons for the interest and mutual benefit of the peoples of the two countries and other GCC countries.
