Abdullah bin Zayed meets Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg

WAM ABU DHABI, 9th September, 2013 (WAM)–H. H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, today received Jean Asselborn, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg, who is currently visiting the country.

During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah and Asselborn exchanged cordial views on the best ways to upgrade the bilateral ties in all field, especially in the areas of economy, investment and energy. They also tackled the latest regional and international developments, including the situations in Egypt and Syria.

The UAE Foreign Minister welcomed the Luxembourg minister and the delegation accompanying him, stressing that the visit would further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries as well as avail opportunity for trade exchange, and benefit from mutual experiences.

Sheikh Abdullah referred to the importance of mutual visits and meetings between the officials of both countries so as to bring their views closer on a number of issues.

He commended the distinguished level of relations between the UAE and Luxembourg, stressing the importance of continuous efforts to bolster the relations between the two friendly countries.

The meeting was attended by Luxembourg Ambassador to UAE Nicole Bendtner, Marc Scheer, Deputy Head of Mission at the Luxembourg Embassy in the UAE and others.
