50 SCHOOLS OPENED TO INTEGRATE DISABLED STUDENTS

Aisha Yusuf Abdelrahman, head of the Special Education Section at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, said that the Special Education and the Talented Care Department is exerting concerted efforts to develop its service and improve the support policy, which would support the interests of the students, as well as those of the Qatari, school and family communities.

She further clarified that the ministry opened 50 public schools this year to be ones of integration, and all are geographically distributed across different areas of the country. This is aimed at providing services that meet the needs of students by means of a team of diversified specialties.

It is worth mentioning that the integration schools target the mentally challenged and autistic students.
