5 Obligations on Employers According to Social Security Law

The General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA) has emphasized that there are 5 obligations on employers in accordance with the provisions of the Social Security Law, which came into effect on January 3, 2023.

GRSIA stated that those obligations include keeping financial, administrative, and legal records of the insured person and employer to serve as a basis for the payment of contributions, the settlement of pension, and insurance benefits, in addition to the commitment to the calculated contribution salary (basic salary + social allowance + accommodation allowance) effective from January 3, 2023.

The obligations also include not surpassing the maximum limit of the calculated salary amounting to QR 100,000 effective from April 19, 2022. The calculated salary contribution exceeding this limit shall be fixed at QR 100,000. Furthermore, the accommodation allowance of the insured person shall not exceed QR 6,000.
