The participants in the forum called on the governments of member states to take the lead in coordinating efforts among various stakeholders, including government officials, investors, companies, experts and policy makers, with the aim of giving impetus to the adoption of agricultural technologies. They also recommended focusing on developing water management technologies and utilizing the Internet of Things devices to improve agricultural practices, in addition to encouraging the adoption of emerging technologies, such as genetic modification and improving crops using AI, in order to enhance food production and address the challenges facing countries, including those related to climate resilience. They on the institutions of OIC and relevant government agencies to support the projects and activities of IOFS and urged them to participate closely with the private sector and businessmen in implementing the biotechnology and agricultural technology program and its activities, as well as liaise with Chamber of Commerce and other associations for further participation through transferring agricultural technology across OIC states, IFPA and other programs in general. Additionally, the participants called on IOFS to begin holding annual civil society forums to participate with non-governmental organizations from member states to undertake a cooperative approach in implementing the strategic vision of the organization and to call on member states to formulate comprehensive agricultural policies based on technology to meet regional challenges, maximize opportunities, and establish partnerships, in addition to strong public-private partnerships to promote research and development in sustainable agricultural technology solutions, and broad adoption of sustainable practices with emphasis on areas facing water and land access constraints. They expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Municipality in Qatar for hosting this critical event, and Secretariat of IOFS for organizing the forum, as well as OIC institutions, gover nment agencies, private sector entities, research institutions in OIC member states, international organizations, institutions, distinguished speakers, experts and supervisors, as well as all stakeholders for their valuable contributions to the success of this forum. The second high-level forum is a dynamic platform for multi-stakeholder dialogue, and focuses on advanced agricultural technologies, scientific research, smart agriculture, food supply chain transformation, strategic partnerships, and youth empowerment for sustainable food systems.
