WASHINGTON, June 3 (KUNA) — The US-led coalition against the so-called Islamic State (IS) launched 29 airstrikes in Syria and Iraq Thursday, the Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) said in its daily report.
In Syria, 14 airstrikes targeted the groupآ’s facilities and equipment near Ar Raqqah, Manbij, and Marآ’a, the report showed.
In Iraq, 15 airstrikes targeted IS facilities and equipment near Fallujah, Hit, Habbaniyah, Mosul, Tal Afar, and Kisik.
The Coalition maintained that a single airstrike “means one or more kinetic events that occur in roughly the same geographic location to produce a single, sometimes cumulative effect for that location,” as indicated in the report. (end) ak.mt
