26 people killed in suicide attack in Iraq's Babylon

BAGHDAD, March 25 (KUNA) — Twenty-six people were killed in a suicide attack on a football stadium in the governorate of Babylon, south of Baghdad, police said Friday.
A suicide bombder detonated the explosives he was wearing next to a number of citizens in a football field in the Alexandria Town, northern Babylon, a police source said in a statement to KUNA.
The explosion, he added, killed 26 people and injured 60 others. The wounded were rushed to the nearest hospital.
Today’s attack happened few days after a suicide assault northern Babylon, which killed and wounded around 150 people. (end) ahh.bs
