23 ELDERLY WOMEN TRAINED ON SOCIAL MEDIA

The Social Media Websites and Useful Apps course, held by Qatar Assistive Technology Centre � Mada, the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA) and the Center for Empowerment and Elderly Care � Ehsan has been concluded, targeting 23 elderly women in the advanced level.

The course aimed at training the participants on using the social media platforms Twitter � Instagram � Snapchat, as well as different mobile apps, and they were briefed during the two-day course on useful apps, such as baladiya, Metrash2, Mushaf Qatar among other apps.

This came as part of @Wasel Program that is aimed at bridging the digital gap between the elderly and the rapid technological development. It also encourages trainers on the use of technology to help them communicate and boost their independence.
