MOJ Launches “Absher” Car Service to Reach Customers in Their Whereabouts

The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) has launched “Absher” car service. This service is a mobile office in which a legal notary will be present as well as will have all office and technical requirements needed to complete transactions and take signatures of citizens in their whereabouts without the need to visit the Ministry or its branches.

Government and private entities and institutions can also benefit from this service in cases that require this, in accordance with controls and procedures regulating the mobility of car and their whereabouts.

The new service is a qualitative leap in the Ministry’s efforts to bring transactions closer to the public and facilitate access, and it is available to all segments of society, especially the elderly, people with special needs, and other cases, including medical cases, and etc.

MOCI Conducts New Updates on Lifting Gyms Restrictions

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) decided to make new amendments to the decision issued in the third phase of the gradual lifting of restrictions imposed on gyms on 28 of last July, with regard to the instructions that gymnasiums should adhere to.

Under the new amendment, gyms must follow the following guidelines:

  •  Determining the capacity inside the gymnasiums through the commitment of employees and customers to leave a safe distance between them of not less than 3 meters.
    •    Measuring the temperature of employees and customers at the entrances, and not allowing individuals whose temperature exceeds 38 degrees to enter the gym.
    •    Employees and clients are not allowed to enter until verification of green color code in Ehteraz app.
    •    Employees and clients are required to wear masks.
    •    Employees and clients are required to leave a safe distance of at least 3 meters between them.

The Ministry said, according to a statement on its official account on Twitter, that this decision came into effect, starting Thursday 11 November 2020, and it is subject to amendment and updating according to developments in this regard, and that any violation of the provisions of this decision exposes the perpetrators to legal procedures and accountability.

Mada Center Grants Digital Accessibility Certification to QSE Website

Assistive Technology Center Qatar “Mada” affiliated with the Ministry of Transport and Communications has granted a certification to Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) website. This certification is granted to institutions after working on implementing the international standards of digital accessibility on their digital platforms.

Thus, it has become easy for persons with disabilities and the elderly to check the QSE website, particularly the spot prices webpage.

Ms. Maha Al Mansouri, CEO of Mada Center, has handed over the certification to Mr. Rashid Ali Al Mansouri, CEO of Qatar Stock Exchange, expressing her happiness with the website certification. She noted that the QSE website obtaining the digital accessibility certification of Mada Center reflects QSE’s commitment and interest in empowering, supporting and including persons with disability in the digital community.

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Meets Indian Ambassador

HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi met today with HE Ambassador of the Republic of India to the State of Qatar Dr. Deepak Mittal.

During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral cooperation relations and issues of common concern.

Diplomatic Institute, Customs Training Center Sign MoU

The Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Customs Training Center at the General Authority of Customs signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on strengthening and sharing experiences in the fields of scientific and strategic research and aspects of training between the two sides.

The MoU was signed by HE Director of the Diplomatic Institute Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Horr, and Director of the Customs Training Center Mubarak Ibrahim Al Buainain.


The memorandum aims to develop and strengthen joint cooperation between the Institute and the Center for the mutual potentials of both sides in the fields of scientific research, strategy, international, economic and customs agreements, as well as studies related to how to deal with dignitaries and diplomatic protocols on joint work, exchange of experts, trainers, researchers, and specialists in the field of diplomatic handling of travelers and their bags and shipments, in addition to building and developing national capabilities and holding conferences and specialized scientific workshops.

It also aims to cooperate between the two sides in order to exchange experiences, hold programs and workshops, and carry out research and advisory activities and research projects in the field of diplomatic training, international agreements and related fields, and developing the capacities of the two sides’ cadres in common areas.

The MoU includes cooperation in the field of scientific research, diplomatic studies, international and economic relations, international agreements and other related fields, cooperation in the field of education, theoretical and practical training, and providing training courses for the employees of both sides in common and related fields, in addition to exchanging professional experiences, trainers, and researchers in common fields, and holding conferences, seminars, and joint international, regional and specialized workshops related to academic, diplomatic, political, economic, customs and security relations.


It also includes cooperation between the two sides in preparing joint scientific research in areas of interest to both sides, and working to strengthen the links between researchers and the research teams of both sides.
