The 1st International Waste Management Conference, organized by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), will kick off today via videoconferencing with the participation of a number of representatives of government agencies and entities and private sector companies and factories, as well as elite of local and international experts and specialists in waste management and treatment.
Engineer Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Al Sada, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Services Affairs at MME, clarified that the two-day conference aims at developing a waste management system and highlighting the most recent waste management methods which seek produce energy, fertilizers, and recyclable materials. The conference also aims at promoting societal participation to protect sustainable development and encourage investment in this regard, as he said.
The conference attracts many government agencies, private sector and international and regional bodies to view and learn about the latest technology in waste management, treatment, and disposal.
