YIldIz Holding participates in French investment forum

Food manufacturer Yildiz Holding was the only Turkish firm invited to an international sector forum held in Paris on Tuesday, attended by French President Franandcois Hollande.
The Business France meeting brought together global actors for the second time this year in order to discuss strategic partnerships. Yildiz Holding Deputy Chairman Ali andulker represented the company at the meeting in Paris, where executives from 22 firms in 16 countries were in attendance.
andulker emphasized the importance of international partnerships, saying Yildiz Holding produces goods in 14 countries on four continents and since the acquisition of the United Biscuits company, now has operations in a geography that encompasses 4 billion people.
Yildiz Holding made gross sales of 254 million euros from France last year, where the company employs 815 people.
In a major move last November, Yildiz Holding acquired UK-based United Biscuits, making the former the worldand’s third-largest biscuit manufacturer and significantly expanding the companyand’s global reach.
Known in Turkey primarily for its andulker food products brand, Yildiz Holding also owns chocolatier Godiva. The company said earlier this year it aspires to overtake Kelloggand’s as the worldand’s second-largest snack producer. Chairman Murat andulker was named the richest businessman in Turkey earlier this year according to the annual Forbes billionaires list.
