US, Azerbaijan agree to hold dialogue on four areas – ambassador

Baku: “A number of issues, including the strengthening of US-Azerbaijan relations were discussed during the visit of Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland,” US ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Cekuta said, APA reports.

According to him, the sides agreed on holding dialogue on four areas.

“These areas will be energy, economy, security, democracy and civil society. Since Ms. Nuland returned to Washington, works are underway to decide what actions on democracy and civil society would be taken. We will express our opinions to the Azerbaijani side and learn their opinions too. I think opinions of civil society should also be learned, and we should work with them as well,” said the ambassador.
