Turkish President Erdogan arrives in Qatar

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Qatar for an official visit on Wednesday. Erdogan was welcomed by Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani with official ceremony.

Erdogan attended the welcoming ceremony, stated as a ‘first’ with horses and camels, in front of the Emirates Council. Following reciting the national anthems of both countries, Erdogan greeted the escort of honour.

Minister of environment and urbanisation Guldemet Sari, Minister of Economy Mustafa Elitas, Minister of Energy and Natural Sources Berat Albayrak, Interior Minister Efkan Ala, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mahir Unal, Finance Minister Naci Agbal, Minister of Education Nabi Avci, Minister of Defence İsmet Yilmaz and Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Binali Yildirim were among the participants on ceremony.

Following the ceremony, Erdogan held a bilateral talk with Al Thani. After the talk, a meeting was held between the two sides’ delegations.
