Turkish actor Sumer Tilma laid to rest in Istanbul

Turkish screen and stage actor Sandumer Tilmaandc, who died Friday evening at the age of 66, was laid to rest Sunday afternoon in Istanbul in a crowded funeral attended by fellow actors as well as figures from Turkeyand’s business world.
Tilmaandc was buried at the Karacaahmet Cemetery following afternoon prayers at the iakirin Mosque, the Cihan news agency reported Sunday.
Tilmaandc died of sudden cardiac arrest Friday night during the wedding party of mafia boss Sedat Peker in the historic Esma Sultan Yalisi, a former imperial mansion that has been converted into an events venue, in Istanbuland’s OrtakandOy quarter. The actor was immediately rushed to the private Liv Hospital but doctors said the actor was clinically dead when he arrived at the hospital.
Culture and Tourism Minister andOmer andcelik issued a condolence message following Tilmaandcand’s death. and”Tilmaandc was an artist who constituted a role model for the younger generations with his unique [acting] style and his contributions in Turkish cinema,and” andcelik said in his message, adding, and”He will always be remembered for his fatherly attitude as well as for his contribution to [acting],and” the Dogan news agency reported.
Although originally a stage actor, Tilmaandc was better known for his onscreen roles, mainly for the characters he has portrayed in Turkish television series. In a recent TV talk show, Tilmaandc said he has acted in more than 200 movies throughout his career, which also included appearances in around 60 theater productions. His last film role was in the comedy and”Olur iniallah,and” which was released in theaters on June 5.
