Turkey’s PM offers condolences to President Aliyev

Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a telephone call to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on August 8, AzerTag news agency reported.

The prime minister said he was deeply saddened by the news that Azerbaijani servicemen died while repulsing the attacks off the Armenian armed forces on the positions in different directions on the frontline in the last few days.

Erdogan, on behalf of Turkish people and on his own behalf, offered condolences to President Aliyev, Azerbaijani people and families of the martyrs.

The head of state thanked the prime minister and the people of Turkey for the condolences and for attention.

During the talk, President Aliyev updated Prime Minister Erdogan on the situation on the line of contact in the last few days.

Invader Armenia`s armed forces have violated ceasefire in a planned manner in various directions of the Armenia-Azerbaijan state border and on the contact line of troops and attacked positions of our armed forces in the last few days.
