Another body retrieved from flooded mineRescue teams have retrieved the body of one more miner who was trapped on Oct. 28 with 17 others in a flooded coal mine near Ermenek, Karaman province.

The miner was taken to Ermenek State Hospital for autopsy.The bodies of 13 miners have now been retrieved, while five more bodies remain inside the mine.

The Ermenek mine accident left 18 people trapped underground after the mine was flooded with water that failed to drain from one of the shafts. Seven people, including the owner and two senior officials at the mine and five engineers, were detained on Nov.

Claims of negligence have been leveled as some say water inside the mine was not drained on time, which caused the flooding. According to regulations, the water should have been drained every other week.
