Turkish film ‘Snow Pirates’ to premiere at 2015 BerlinaleandldquoKar KorsanlarIandrdquo (Snow Pirates), a Turkish film directed by first-time filmmaker Faruk HacIhafIzoIlu, will be vying for awards at the upcoming Berlin International Film Festival.The drama, set in the eastern Turkish province of Kars in the wake of the countryandrsquos Sept.

andldquoSnow Piratesandrdquo is among 13 feature films from 12 countries selected so far for the 2015 festivalandrsquos Generation Kplus and Generation 14plus competitions, dedicated to stories of young people who are coming of age. The complete Generation program will be announced in mid-January, the festival organizers said.

The Berlin Film Festival, the yearandrsquos first major European film gathering ahead of the Cannes and Venice festivals, will mark its 65th edition from Feb. 5-15.
