Turkey’s new Cappadox fest announces program for 1st yearTurkish concert promoter Pozitif Live revealed the hotly anticipated program for its upcoming Cappadox festival on Wednesday via its website, announcing a packed lineup of Turkish and international musicians as well as contemporary art and gastronomy events for the three-day slate set for mid-May in the Central Anatolian tourist attraction of UhisarTurkish electronic musician and ney (reed flute) player Mercan Dede, Turkish-French trio Forabanditand#39s UlaI zdemir, French musician Candeacutecile Schott, aka Colleen, Dutch minimalist musician-lute player Jozef van Wissem, Turkish jazz saxophonist Ilhan ErIahin, Nigerian-American neo-soul musician Iyeoka, German world musician Stephan Micus and French jazz percussionist and multi-instrumentalist Mino Cinelu are only some of the names set to perform in the music section of the eclectic program, which also includes a slew of events listed under Contemporary Art, Gastronomy and Outdoor sections.The art section of the festival, set for May 16-18, is programmed by well-known international curator Fulya Erdemci, Pozitif Live said.

Eight artists from Turkey and overseas will exhibit selections from their work as well as produce new work onsite in workshops as part of the program, titled andldquoKapadokya arpmasIandrdquo (Cappadociastroke).Festival tickets are going on sale Friday via Biletix.
