Syrian refugees get spotlight in new action-dramaThe story of the over 1 million Syrian refugees in Turkey is making the leap to the big screen. A new film directed by Korhan UIur follows the fictional story of a family of Syrian immigrants whose tragic story gets heart-rending as they fall into the hands of an organ-trafficking network, according to a press release issued last week by the movieand#39s publicist.

Titled andldquoTerkedilmiIandrdquo (Abandoned), the action-drama is currently in post-production and expected to open in Turkish cinemas in March, according to IMDb.comUIur has also written the screenplay for the film, shot in Izmir and set in an abandoned sanatorium located in a lush forest far from the city.

The filmand#39s cast includes Azerbaijani actors Kyamran Agabalaev and Konul Nagiyeva as well as Turkeyand#39s Sema IimIek, Levent ulgen, Hakan VanlI and Mahmut Gkgz.The movie will open in cinemas in Turkey and Azerbaijan at the same time.
