Filmmor women’s film festival unrolls 2015 edition FridayThe 2015 edition of the Filmmor International Womenand#39s Film Festival on Wheels will get underway on Friday in Istanbul, bringing to town more than 60 films themed around resistance, all made by female directors.Filmmor is one of Turkeyand#39s two major cinema events dedicated to films by women and about women, along with the Ankara-based Flying Broom festival.

Its 2015 edition, the 13th year of the festival, will be traveling to six Turkish cities in total, from March 13 through April 27.The Istanbul screenings will run from March 13-22 in three venues — the Istanbul Modern, the Pera museums and the Rampa Theater in TaksimThe festival will then travel west, to Denizli in the Aegean region, from March 28-29 and to Bodrum on April 4-5.

On April 11 and 12, the festival will head southeast, to DiyarbakIr Adana will be hosting screenings on April 18-19 and Izmir will be the programand#39s final stop when it hosts the festival on April 25-26.Films from 25 countries will be shown in the festivaland#39s various sections, including andldquoWomenand#39s Cinema,andrdquo andldquoOur Body is Oursandrdquo and andldquoA Purse of Her Own.
